Housing related policies
Delivering new homes within the borough is a key part of what the local plan is about. The housing options topic area covers how many new homes we need to plan for and how we can deliver that number, and the housing allocations topic area looks at where those new homes might go in the borough.
This section looks some of the policies we think should be included in the new plan around how that housing will be delivered. It includes topics such as affordable housing, custom and self-build, housing mix, and density. Design policies related to new homes can be found in the design section.
